Holiday Cheer at Goodwin House

On December 2, members of The Garden Club of Alexandria continued our annual tradition of donating holiday arrangements, horticulture and photography to residents of Goodwin House Senior Living.  The results were stunningly beautiful and greatly appreciated by Goodwin House residents.  See photos and note from Goodwin House below!

From Jennifer Bennett, Events Coordinator at Goodwin House Alexandria:

Dear Members of The Garden Club of Alexandria - We are grateful for your generous donation of holiday arrangements, horticulture and photographs to brighten the holiday season here at Goodwin House.  Your donations bring great joy and beauty to Goodwin House Alexandria, uplifting residents in both our health care units and individual apartments.

From the beauty of your arrangements and photographs to the living promise of a paperwhite, amaryllis or topiary, each contribution is deeply appreciated.  Our staff first carefully selects arrangements for the living rooms of our 10 "small house" health care units and for residents who are homebound.  Following this, individual residents are invited to choose an arrangement, plant or photography from your beautiful display.   All of these donations go directly to our residents free-of-charge, and truly brighten everyone's holiday season.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for sharing your gifts with our community!  Warmest regards, Goodwin House Alexandria
